Songs that have content beyond the typical song topics, offering messages of self empowerment, global awareness and universal connectivity.
Nicole studied classically performing in symphony orchestras for over 7 years. Though mainly a Folk musician in the early years, elements of her Classical background and love for World and New Age music are now more predominant in her music. It's music for our times crossing all borders, carrying a message that Nicole hopes will give listeners a sense of connection and a lift to a better place. “Music is what LIFTS us” she says when talking about her third album titled “Lift”.
Nicole has been featured on CHCH Morning Show, Rogers TV Daytime Toronto, The Sun Parlour Coffee House Sessions, Live is Where it Lives, and Toronto Sessions and has done many live radio interviews throughout Ontario.
Nicole's self-produced debut album "Why Dont You Care" released in 2012 and her EP "Strong Enough For Love" released September 2014 have been added to playlists in over 100 radio stations across North America and Europe. Songs from these albums received a CMJ add in its first week of radio promotions and were in the top 20 charts at KAOS radio and The Scope. Her third album "Lift" produced a #1 hit for indie artist for 2017 at Q108 Kingston. In 2018 she released the album “Calm Collection”, a collection of relaxing songs from previous albums and the single “Ave Maria.
The Wellington Times had this to say about a recent performance at the 2019 County Pop Music festival “...While these artists were all very good, (Nicole) Craig’s performance was a cut above. The solo performer used looping and a synthesizer built into her guitar to achieve the sound of a full band to go along with the remarkably pure tones of her voice."
Nicole has performed at multiple events including the Orillia Opera House, Bobcaygeon Beer Festival, Niagara Lavender Festival, Canada Blooms, Lindsay Academy Theatre, Old Church Theatre, Pinnacle Theatre, Hughs Room and many other great venues. Nicole has had the pleasure of performing with such artists as Rick Dutkiewicz Haynes (bassist for Gordon Lightfoot since 1969) and Folk legend Valdy. Band members have included David Henman (co-founder of April Wine), Tom Nagy (bass), and Donald Quan (former keyboardist for Lighthouse and percussionist for Loreena Mckennitt). Nicole has just completed a tour (Fall 2019) with her trio across Ontario and released a Christmas album NOEL featuring traditional songs in French and English.
